Pasadena InSight

About us

Pasadena InSight is a community effort brought to you by the Coalition for a Common Vision (CCV), a group of citizens from all parts of the greater Pasadena community dedicated to achieving a vibrant, sustainable, and livable city.

CCV seeks to see that Pasadena’s civic leadership and City staff actively engage with the wider Pasadena community to ensure transparency, inclusivity, and authentic public participation in all aspects of Pasadena’s civic life.

To that end, we’ve started this site as an arena for discussion about development projects and planning issues in Pasadena, hoping to both incite interest and create greater insight and opportunity for discussion than the three minutes we get before the commissions.

  1. I share these concerns; the problem is that there is no plan. To that end, I invite everyone to participate in the creating of the City’s Open Space and Conservation Element. This Saturday, February 28th, everyone is invited to an Open Space and Conservation Fair at City Hall from 9:30-12:30. At 10:30, we will have speaker Will Rogers from the Trust for Public Land. All are invited to participate by finding out more about Open Space and Conservation in Pasadena, and to contribute their ideas. We will also have a follow-up workshop in May, and all are invited. We need to hear from you.

Everyone is also welcome to the Open Space and Conservation Committee’s meetings, which are usually the second Monday of the month at 6:30 in the basement of City Hall. We are having an additional meeting tomorrow (Monday, Feb 23rd) in light of the event next Saturday, and all are welcome to attend.
